The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau can no longer win after the European Championship break. In the last game of the year, the Saxons suffered their next defeat against their neighbors in the table, Buxtehuder SV, 20:27 (13:15), their third in the last three games. Laura Szabo was the host's best scorer with six goals. Teresa von Prittwitz also scored six goals for Buxtehude.
The players of Head Coach Norman Rentsch held their own for eight minutes (4:4) before there was an initial collapse. The visitors pulled away to 11:5. BSV was not to fully recover from this deficit.
The club from Saxony did manage to level the scores before the break. However, they then ran out of steam, as they had done in the final minutes. Although they still had slight hopes at 20:23 (56'), these fizzled out and the defeat was a clear one.
