Former Leipzig player Xaver Schlager is reportedly set to move to England. According to a media report, the Austrian national team soccer player is on the verge of a free transfer to Nottingham Forest, where Oliver Glasner serves as head coach. The 28-year-old midfielder was most recently under contract with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, where he chose not to renew his contract.
Schlager is expected to sign a contract with the Premier League club through 2028, according to “The Athletic.” The World Cup participant’s contract is said to include an option for an additional year.
