Football Bundesliga club RB Leipzig achieved a clear victory at the start of the training camp in Donaueschingen. One week after their first test match success with a 3-0 win against ZFC Meuselwitz, coach Ole Werner's team won 7-0 (5-0) against French first division side FC Toulouse.
Werner called up the two new signings Max Finkgräfe and Johan Bakayoko as well as Xaver Schlager, who had been injured for a long time, to the starting line-up. Lukas Klostermann, Kevin Kampl and Amadou Haidara were absent. Timo Werner, Eljif Elmas and Andre Silva, who Leipzig would have liked to hand over, were also not included.
Three new signings score
Leipzig were very playful from the start and combined very fluidly. Loïs Openda scored a brace in the 17th and 40th minutes, Xaver Schlager (20th), El Chadaille Bitshiabu (22nd) and new signing Bakayoko (35th) made it clear before the break.
After the break, Werner introduced a completely new team, who were celebrating less than two minutes after the restart. The agile new signing Yan Diomande completed the half-dozen. Another new signing, Ezechiel Banzuzi, scored in the 80th minute and the Saxons missed further top-class chances.
