After a bitter opening-round loss to Champions League debutant Como 1907, RB Leipzig is already under pressure heading into its first home game. That’s why head coach Martín Demichelis doesn’t want to be blinded by the 6-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. For their home opener in the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven this Tuesday (9:00 p.m./DAZN), the head coach of RB Leipzig expects a different caliber of opponent. “PSV plays very attractive soccer—the same philosophy as we do. We’re coming off a good performance and need to build on it—with plenty of energy and conviction,” said Demichelis. The Dutch champions, led by former Bundesliga coach Peter Bosz, managed to pick up a point in their opener against Shakhtar Donetsk. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
