That's as good as it gets on a memorable evening of soccer. Assan Ouédraogo, just 19 years old, scored shortly after coming on as a substitute in his first appearance in a DFB shirt to make it 6-0 for the German national team in the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia - making him "the youngest German debut goalscorer since 1954!", his club RB Leipzig announced on the X platform.
The attacking midfielder came on for Florian Wirtz on his DFB debut in the 77th minute and completed the half-dozen for national coach Julian Nagelsmann's team 102 seconds later with his deflected shot from nine meters into the bottom left corner.
At 19 years and 192 days old, Ouédraogo is the youngest German debutant since Klaus Stürmer to score in his first international match. Stürmer had scored in his first game in a DFB jersey in 1954 at the age of 19 years and 68 days in an international match against France (1-3). In general, RB professional Ouédraogo is the fifth-youngest goalscorer in a DFB shirt and the 21st DFB debutant under Nagelsmann.
