Nuremberg coach Cristian Fiel is looking forward to the 272nd Franconian derby. "It's something cool, something special," said the "Club" coach ahead of the emotional clash between neighbors in the 2nd Bundesliga on Sunday (1:30 pm/Sky) at SpVgg Greuther Fürth. "It could be a very interesting encounter."
Fiels Nuremberg are in mid-table after four consecutive games without a win. Despite three narrow defeats in a row, Alexander Zorniger's Fürth are within striking distance of third place. "I'm expecting a lot of emotion, because that's what a derby is all about," said Fiel. "That's the spice that makes a derby."
Full-back Jan Gyamerah will miss the derby due to illness. Young star Can Uzun, on the other hand, who had a slight injury to his foot, is ready for action according to Fiel. The 18-year-old has already scored eleven times in this second division season.
