The first players have left the German Basketball League club Syntainics MBC shortly after the end of the season. The new head coach Marco Ramondino can no longer work with a quintet, nor does he want to.
Top scorer Michael Devoe signaled his desire to move to a top European club. Ty Brewer and Eddy Edigin will join a league rival. Veteran Tyren Johnson and Ivan Tkachenko will not receive new contract offers. Ramondino would like to realign the team in their positions.
Talks are currently underway with captain Charles Callison, cup hero Martin Breunig, long-range shooting specialist Spencer Reaves, backup playmaker Aleksa Kovacevic and youngster Moritz Heck about the possibility of them remaining with the cup winners and playoff quarter-finalists in Weißenfels. The veterans John Bryant and Akeem Vargas as well as the youngsters Mika Siegert and Ilias Amin have current contracts for the coming season.
