The Niners Chemnitz have signed center Eddy Edigin. The 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Bundesliga basketball club. "Eddy performed particularly well in the past season, but we also see further development potential in him. He is a real mentality player who works hard to take the next steps," said Head Coach Rodrigo Pastore in a club statement on Tuesday.
Edigin has played for Ludwigsburg for the past two seasons and previously played for Hamburg and Bamberg. The Nigerian-born player, who came to Germany at the age of eight, has already gained experience in the Bundesliga, the BBL Cup, the Euro Cup as well as the Champions League and Euroleague. He has made a total of 167 appearances, 97 of them as a starter.
