Bundesliga basketball club Niners Chemnitz suffered its sixth defeat in its ninth Eurocup game. The team of Head Coach Rodrigo Pastore lost 63:87 (38:45) to Türk Telekom Ankara after a disappointing performance. Kevin Yebo and Amadou Sow were Chemnitz's best scorers with 16 points apiece.
The Niners got off to a promising start with a 7:0 lead, but then quickly lost their rhythm in offense and also their grip in defense. The more mature visitors took the lead in the first period and were ahead by double digits for the first time in the 19th minute (42:32).
The club from Chemnitz also struggled enormously after the break and suffered in particular from its desolate three-point field goal percentage (7:38). Ankara had the game firmly under control and pulled 72:55 ahead by midway through the final quarter (35th minute). In the end, the Turks also deserved to win by that margin.
