The MBC Syntainics basketball team bowed out of the season with a defeat. The team from Weißenfels lost its last point game on Sunday at newly promoted Rasta Vechta by 69:98 (29:50). Tanner Groves (20), Wes Iwundu, Ryan Schwieger, Joschka Ferner (12 each) and Spencer Reaves (11) played the biggest part in the home side's success. Only Johnathan Stove (25) and Chris-Ebou Ndow (14) scored in double figures for the club from Central Germany. The visitors completely missed the first quarter and trailed by 10:24 after ten minutes. Vechta dominated the encounter and had already decided the game by 70:39 in the 26th minute. It was already clear before the game that the club from Weißenfels would finish the season in 13th place. "That's a very good result for us. Congratulations to our boys, the coaches and everyone at the club, because we achieved our goal for the season. Overall, it was a good season for us.
