Driven by the outstanding director Felix Claar and a strong Nikola Portner in goal, the handball players of SC Magdeburg won their Bundesliga home match against TSV Hannover-Burgdorf 31:29 (1:14). In the sixth win in a row, Omar Ingi Magnusson (7/5) and Claar (5) were the most successful scorers for the Champions League winners. For Hannover, Uladzislau Kulesh (6) scored most often in front of 6600 spectators. After the success Magdeburg advanced to second place.
Hannover came better into the game, led after four minutes with 3:1. Although the host came back quickly, also went into the lead, only he could not set himself apart. Thus Hanover went with a scarce projection into the break.
