Magdeburg beats Ulm 4:2 in a test

Second division club 1. FC Magdeburg returned from the sunny winter training camp with two test match successes in their luggage. The team from the Elbe city achieved a 4:2 win against third division side SSV Ulm.

Second division soccer team 1. FC Magdeburg also won the second and final test match of the winter training camp. In Side, Turkey, they beat third division side SSV Ulm 4:2 (1:2) after two 60-minute matches. Alexander Nollenberger (15th minute), Albert Millgramm (76th), Noah Pesch (100th), Magnus Baars (112th) scored for FCM, Abu-Bekir El-Zein (51st) and Ensar Aksakal (60th +1) for Ulm.

Magdeburg started with their regular line-up, took the lead in a scrappy first period and conceded little overall. After 30 minutes and a short break, Ulm became more aggressive and turned the game around through El-Zein, signed from Magdeburg in the winter, and Aksakal. FCM made changes in the second 60 minutes and equalized through the eye-catching youngster Millgramm. Pesch took the lead again before Baars put the finishing touches to the game. FCM start the second half of the season on January 16 at Eintracht Braunschweig.
