The RB Leipzig footballers remain in no man's land in the Bundesliga table. On the penultimate matchday, Leipzig coach Jonas Stephan's team conceded a deserved 1-0 (0-1) defeat at Bayer Leverkusen. Cornelia Kramer had given the hosts the lead after 32 minutes with her eleventh goal of the season against harmless RB women at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion.
The outstanding Dane had already hit the crossbar beforehand and repeatedly caused problems for Leipzig. Leipzig only got into the game better with the introduction of Lydia Andrade in the second half. International Giovanna Hoffmann had the best chance for the visitors in the 52nd minute, but was denied by Leverkusen goalkeeper Friederike Repohl.
