The former Hallenser Elias Huth has further aggravated the sporting crisis at Hallescher FC. The striker scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute in SSV Jahn Regensburg's 2-1 (0-0) win at HFC in the 3rd Football League on Saturday. Dominic Baumann had given the hosts a 1-0 lead with his seventh goal of the season in front of 5867 spectators. Christian Viet (69th) equalized for the visitors, who celebrated their fifth win in a row. Halle remains in second last place in the table after six winless games. The last victory had succeeded to the red-whites on 3 September with the 4:1 (1:1) against the SV Sandhausen.
The Regensburg took with the starting whistle immediately the initiative, did not let the HFC come at all to the development. In the sixth minute, HFC goalkeeper Sven Müller defended a header by Alexander Bittroff. Two minutes later, Viet hit the crossbar from a free kick. The visitors remained dominant, but could not find a decisive gap in the defense of the sacrificially fighting Saalestädter before the break. However, the HFC was not able to set any accents in front. The only shot on goal was fired by Tunay Deniz in stoppage time of the first half.
