Dynamo Dresden and homegrown player Oehmichen are parting ways. The midfielder feels he’ll be better off in Aachen—even if it’s one league lower.

Jonas Oehmichen is leaving the second-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden and heading to Aachen. The 22-year-old midfielder feels he’ll be better off with the third-division club Alemannia Aachen. “Over the past few weeks, we’ve made it clear that we wanted to move forward with Oehmi and had firmly planned to rely on him to compete in the tough battle for playing time in his preferred position in central midfield. In recent days, Oehmi approached us with a clear desire to leave the club and take his next steps in Aachen,” said sporting director Sören Gonther about homegrown player Oehmichen, who had already played for Alemannia on loan during the second half of the 2025–2026 season.
