Dynamo Dresden won the test against third-division side Energie Cottbus without conceding a goal. The second-division soccer club beat the Lusatians 3:0 (1:0). Jonas Oehmichen (5th minute) gave Dynamo the lead in the closed-door test at the Walter Fritzsch Academy training ground in Dresden. Aljaz Casar (51') then increased the lead before Niklas Hauptmann (87') took the ball straight after an attempted clearance by Cottbus and scored into the left corner.
After the 2-1 defeat against 1. FC Nürnberg, Dynamo are still looking for their first home win of the season and remain in a relegation spot. Cottbus' home streak in the 3rd soccer league was snapped with the 1-0 defeat against VfL Osnabrück.
Energie face an explosive state cup quarter-final at SV Babelsberg this Saturday (13:00). After last year's riots, in which the partner of Energie professional Niko Bretschneider was injured, the match at the Karl Liebknecht Stadium has considerable potential for conflict.
