For the first time in 20 years, Dynamo Dresden won at 1. FC Saarbrücken. The team of coach Thomas Stamm won 4:1 (2:1) at the Saarland club and thus regained the lead in the 3rd Football League, which Arminia Bielefeld had conquered the day before with a 4:0 win against Hansa Rostock.
