Central defender Jakob Lewald has not extended his contract with third-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden, which expires this summer. The 25-year-old will move to league rivals SV Sandhausen for the new season, as Dynamo announced on Wednesday.
Lewald came to Dresden from Viktoria Berlin in the summer of 2022. The defender was a regular at Dynamo. He played a total of 72 competitive matches. However, he missed out on promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga twice in a row with the Saxons.
