Nils Dunkel surprisingly won the title on parallel bars at the European Gymnastics Championships in Leipzig. Three years after winning European bronze in Munich on the pommel horse, the 28-year-old from Halle presented an impeccable routine and scored 13.900 points, 0.1 points more than in the qualification. Mixed team European champion Timo Eder from Ludwigsburg completed the brilliant result in third place with 13.700 points.
