Volleyball Bundesliga club Dresdner SC remains in the race for the best starting position for the play-offs. The team from Saxony won confidently against the Ladies in Black.

The Dresden SC volleyball team completed their task at the Ladies in Black Aachen with aplomb. As in the first leg, Alexander Waibl's charges won 3:0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:18) against their immediate rivals. With their twelfth win, the German runners-up defended their fourth place in the table and at the same time widened the gap to Aachen.

After an evenly poised start, the visitors from Dresden increasingly dominated proceedings on court in front of 1,192 spectators with their powerful tasks, variable attacks and good blocking work. When things got tight again in the crunch time of the second period, Waibl's players kept their nerve.

In particular, they displayed their individual class and repeatedly found gaps in the opposing defense, especially through Marta Levinska (18 points) and Lorena Lorber Fijok (12), who was later voted the game's most valuable player (MVP).

In the third period, the Champions League participants then dictated the game more and more clearly and Jette Kuipers converted the second match ball to win after just 76 minutes.
