After their final group match in the Champions League on Wednesday, the Dresden SC women's volleyball team achieved the expected win against bottom-placed Hamburg in the Bundesliga.

Dresdner SC's women's volleyball team have safely completed their compulsory task in the Bundesliga against newly promoted ETV Hamburger Volksbank Volleys. The German Champions League participants clearly won 3:0 (25:19, 25:16, 25:18) against the bottom of the table in their home arena.

The hosts dictated the action on the court right from the start in front of 2564 spectators with powerful tasks, many quick attacks through the middle and good blocking work. Although they repeatedly made a few careless mistakes, the Hamburg club led by former German international Kathleen Weiß was not able to capitalize on the minor inaccuracies.

As a result, DSC coach Alexander Waibl was able to afford to rotate his ranks almost completely and give players from the second row a chance to play. After just 68 minutes, the eleventh win of the season for the fourth-placed team in the table was wrapped up.
