Dresdner SC's women's volleyball team completed their compulsory task in the Bundesliga against Skurios Volleys Borken with ease. The Supercup winners won 3:0 (25:15, 25:16, 25:21) against the newly promoted team from the north. The German runners-up will be called upon again on Wednesday in the second leg of the European Cup at Mulhouse Alsace.
Two days after their convincing performance in the first quarter-final match of the CEV Cup against the French side, Alexander Waibl's team also left no stone unturned in the league. In front of 2,681 spectators, including the President of the German Volleyball Association Markus Dieckmann, the favorites dominated proceedings from the outset. The hosts proved to be clearly superior to the ninth-placed team in the table with powerful tasks, a variable attacking game and stable blocking and court defense. Waibl could afford to give his second row a chance.
