Dresden SC's volleyball players lived up to their role as favorites against newly promoted TSV Flacht. But one important player is missing.

Even without their head coach Alexander Waibl, who was ill, the Dresden SC women's volleyball team completed their compulsory task at Bundesliga promoted Binder Blaubären TSV Flacht with ease. The German Supercup winners won 3:0 (25:14, 25:10, 25:13) at the bottom of the table. With their ninth win in eleven matches, the team from the city on the Elbe moved into second place behind previously unbeaten Stuttgart ahead of the new year.

In front of 433 spectators in the sold-out TSV Flacht hall, Dresden dictated the action on the court right from the start. The German runners-up, who were coached this time by assistant coach Lukasz Marciniak, put on a very powerful display and found good solutions in attack from a stable reception.

The visitors were also clearly superior in block and court defense. As a result, Marciniak was able to rotate his ranks almost completely in the second and especially in the third period. After just 56 minutes, the favorites' commanding victory was wrapped up. The most valuable player was diagonal attacker Marta Levinska, who was also the most successful scorer with 16 points.
