The volleyball women of Dresdner SC have fulfilled their compulsory task in the Bundesliga after their defeat against the world-class team from Conegliano in the Champions League and three days before the cup semi-final in Suhl. They won clearly 3:0 (25:20, 25:21, 25:16) at the still winless bottom team Skurios Volleys Borken. Alexander Waibl's charges thus celebrated their sixth win in their seventh point match.
The hosts kept up well in some phases, but the German cup winners and Champions League participants stepped up a gear in the decisive moments and played to their strengths in all elements. Alexander Waibl also tried to spread the load over several shoulders and rest some of his regular players.
