The police are expecting the final match for the Saxon Cup between FSV Zwickau and FC Erzgebirge Aue to be highly charged and are warning of increased traffic around the Zwickau venue. The match, which kicks off at 3.30 pm on Whit Saturday, is completely sold out. Almost 10,000 spectators are expected in the Zwickau GGZ Arena.
Due to the close proximity of the two clubs - the stadiums are just under 30 kilometers apart - the Zwickau police department is expecting an increased volume of traffic around Saxony's fourth-largest city. Zwickau fans are therefore asked to travel by streetcar. Fans of FC Erzgebirge Aue are asked to follow the signs for visiting fans only and to use the parking spaces reserved for them.
"In order to ensure that the soccer match runs smoothly and peacefully for both fan camps, we expressly ask that you follow the instructions of the emergency services on site," the statement continues.
