Thousands of fans of the Croatian national soccer team took to the streets of Leipzig to get in the mood for their team's match against Italy. According to the police, 10,000 Croatian supporters took part in a fan march before kick-off on Monday evening. Wearing red and white checked shirts and chanting loudly, they marched from Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz to the stadium.

A police spokeswoman said that pyrotechnics were set off from time to time. Otherwise, the situation was calm. No fan march was organized by the Italian side.
