Regional league soccer club FC Carl Zeiss Jena will have to manage without their sick coach Henning Bürger until the winter break. According to the club, the 54-year-old underwent medical treatment on Tuesday after informing sporting director Stefan Böger of his state of health. He will take over training for the remaining four match days of the year.
"There is no question that the focus is on health. And it goes without saying that Henning will receive all the support we can give him along the way. That is the focus right now," explained Managing Director Patrick Widera. FC Carl Zeiss did not provide any information about the nature of the illness.
