The chapter Stefan Bircevic is at the Basketball-Bundesligisten Syntainics MBC already again ended. The club from Weißenfels and the Serb agreed on Monday on an early contract termination. The 33-year-old is currently suffering from a knee injury and will return to his home country in the near future, according to the MBC. The last in the Bundesliga is already sounding out the market to sign a replacement.
The MBC, still winless in four games, had presented Bircevic at the end of August as the last new addition. The Olympic silver medalist from Rio and vice world champion of 2014 played four times in league and cup for the Wolves and came on average to 9.0 points and 3.8 rebounds. Bircevic already had to miss a week ago in the Cup round of 16 and also did not appear on Sunday in the 86:94 against Bamberg.
