Around 4,100 people attended the euro-scene Leipzig dance and theater festival this year. With an occupancy rate of more than 95 per cent for the stage program, the festival drew an extremely positive balance overall, the organizers announced. "The fact that all program items were largely sold out - for the first time even the Leipzig Opera - shows how lively and relevant this festival remains for the city and audience in its 35th year," said festival director Christian Watty.
Artists from more than 16 countries took to the stage at the 33 events from 4 to 9 November.
