The chaotic weeks at basketball Bundesliga club Syntainics MBC continue. After less than two weeks in office, the club from Weißenfels parted ways with its new managing director Konstantin Krause. The cup winners did not give any specific reasons for the surprising personnel decision.
At the start of the week, coach Marco Ramondino had thrown in the towel after seven defeats in a row. Last week, veteran John Bryant had been released for disciplinary reasons, which had caused much discussion.
Krause only took up his post on January 16 and was to be trained by manager Martin Geissler, who was about to leave, by the end of February. "It was always a professional collaboration in this short time," said Geissler. They are now looking at how best to set up the MBC and are already in talks. "But it won't be a rush job."
Geissler still plans to step down
Geissler is still planning to leave the MBC in the coming weeks after almost 25 years. "My decision will not change in principle. Maybe it will be a little later. The MBC should be stable, everything has to be sorted out," said Geissler.
The manager understands that the MBC is currently not presenting a good image to the public. "Sometimes it all comes together at the same time. It certainly wasn't what we wanted, but they were all necessary decisions," said Geissler. From the MBC's point of view, there were no alternatives.
