Dresden fail to score in the first half. By the time Dynamo scored, the game was already over.

Harmless at the front - leaky at the back: after two wins in the second soccer league, Dynamo Dresden have become the ideal set-up men for 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Three days after the depressing 6-1 defeat at Hertha BSC in the DFB Cup, the promoted team from Saxony healed the Palatinate side's wounds in a 3-1 (0-1) defeat in front of 46,015 spectators at the Fritz Walter Stadium.

"We didn't defend well against the standard goals, as we have to. Then it's not enough against a very powerful team," said Dynamo coach Thomas Stamm about the first two goals conceded, "those are basics that weren't good today. We did them better last week."

Schreiber returns to the Dynamo goal

After the respective 2-1 victories at VfL Bochum and against Fortuna Düsseldorf, Stamm had recalled Tim Schreiber in goal for the injured Roman Grill. Nils Fröling replaced the ill Niklas Hauptmann in midfield.

However, the changes did not bear fruit, Dynamo played too cautiously and had to concede the lead through Naatan Skyttä after just 17 minutes. A second Lauter goal from Daniel Hanslik seven minutes later was taken back due to a handball. In a match that was not played at a high level, the Dynamos did not manage a single shot on goal in the first half.

After the break, Lautern captain Marlon Ritter scored in the 52nd minute and Mika Haas scored the supposed winner in the 70th minute after Skyttä had almost fooled the entire Dresden defence with his preparatory work.

Dresden's first shot on goal in the 71st minute

The visitors scored for the first time a minute later, but five minutes later Jakob Lemmer scored for the visitors with a dream goal from around 25 meters.

And that had an effect. Dynamo now had more confidence and appeared dangerous in front of the goal guarded by Julian Krahl on several occasions. But it was not enough for another goal.
