1. FC Magdeburg won the first test at the winter training camp. They beat FC Winterthur, bottom of the Swiss first division, 2:1 (1:1) in Turkey. Rayan Ghrieb (31) and Mateusz Zukowski (88) scored for FCM, Andrin Hunziker (38) equalized in between.
Magdeburg started with a whole host of reserves and created more chances in a generally uneventful half, but ultimately only scored one of their own. After the break, more FCM regulars were on the pitch, but the game did not become any more attractive. Instead, the game became more even and the Swiss team also had a few chances to score. The winning goal was only scored shortly before the end.
On Friday, FCM will play their second and final test against third-division side SSV UIm before the league opener in Braunschweig on January 16.
