Regional league soccer team 1. FC Lok Leipzig have reached the quarter-finals of the Saxon state cup. Almedin Civa's team recorded an unchallenged 2-0 (2-0) win against FC Eilenburg on Saturday. Local rivals Chemie Leipzig, on the other hand, were eliminated after losing 2-1 (1-0) at VFC Plauen despite taking the lead.
