First FC Heidenheim will face RB Leipzig without any personnel problems after their opening win in the Conference League phase. Head coach Frank Schmidt has no new absentees for the home game in the Bundesliga on Sunday (3.30pm/DAZN) apart from Niklas Dorsch, who is suspended after a red card. "That will be the only change to the squad," said Heidenheim's coach one day after the 2:1 in the Conference League against NK Olimpija Ljubljana.
However, there will probably still be rotations in the starting eleven. Schmidt made seven changes against Ljubljana compared to the 2-0 win over Mainz. "We'll have to think about who plays from the start this time," said Schmidt.
He praised the upcoming opponents as a "top team that will really challenge us". Leipzig are unbeaten in 16 league games this season. Schmidt commented on this streak with a grin: "Ljubljana were also unbeaten in 16 games."
