The Saxon Greens have adopted their election program for the state elections on 1 September and are entering the election campaign with confidence. Their clear message is: "We are ready to continue taking responsibility for Saxony," said state chairwoman Marie Müser. "There is no way around us for a stable democratic government majority in the Free State."
The election manifesto is a political offer and is characterized by confidence, togetherness and values "that we will continue to promote in this society with heart and soul and a great deal of passion," said Franziska Schubert, leader of the parliamentary group in the state parliament.
In the preamble to the election manifesto, the party states that it has achieved a lot, but wants even more. A climate protection law is also mentioned as a goal, which should define measures by 2045. The Greens are in favor of a massive expansion of renewable energies, with public buildings and squares in the state to be used primarily for solar panels. They also call for a coal phase-out well before 2038.
