In the first half of 2025, four lottery players in Saxony achieved what many dream of: they won millions. This means that the number of top prizes in the first six months was slightly lower than in the same period last year. In 2024, Sachsenlotto had reported seven new lottery millionaires by the middle of the year.
Of the four big winners this year, two came from the state capital Dresden, one from Leipzig and one from North Saxony. One of the lucky Dresden residents won a good 3.2 million euros in May with six correct numbers in the classic "6 out of 49" lottery. In mid-March, a woman from Dresden hit the jackpot in the supplementary lottery "Spiel 77" and was able to enjoy almost 1.6 million euros.
