Agricultural businesses from the Vogtland region and the Zwickau district have won the state competition for animal-friendly and environmentally friendly husbandry. Agrar GmbH Reichenbach (district of Görlitz) won in the dairy cattle category, while Biohof Weber GmbH in Schönberg (district of Zwickau) was honored in the cattle/pig and poultry farming category. The two farms impressed the jury in the areas of animal comfort and sustainable management through the use of renewable energies, as announced by the Saxon State Farmers' Association.
