The police in Bischofswerda, Saxony, have captured an animal night owl and taken it in temporarily. In the early morning, young people had discovered a coati in a front garden that had made a mess of a tree root, according to the Görlitz police department. As it turned out, it had escaped from the zoo, whose heraldic animal it is.
"How exactly the coati was able to leave its enclosure is currently still part of the investigation - it may simply have "had enough"," said the officials. The animal should be returned to the zoo later today.
