For more than half a million children and young people in Saxony, it's a magical word: "summer vacation". Before that, there are the school reports.

The summer break begins for pupils in Saxony. This Friday they will receive their school reports and then the summer vacation begins. According to the Ministry of Education, 526,400 pupils will receive their school reports. For around 21,600 secondary school graduates, around 13,700 high school graduates and 2,850 graduates of technical colleges, the end of the school year has come.

Those who are not happy with their report cards can seek comfort on the report card hotline. The contacts there can encourage children and show them ways to get off to a good start in the new school year. Parents can also contact the hotline.

Minister of Education Conrad Clemens (CDU) thanked the approximately 39,700 teachers for their extraordinary commitment. "Our teachers are not only imparters of knowledge, but above all important companions for their pupils."
