No mail, no parcels: Deutsche Post employees are going on warning strike in several cities in the south-east. The background to this is ongoing wage negotiations.

The one-day warning strike at Deutsche Post will affect several cities in the south-east on Thursday. The trade union Verdi is calling on employees from distribution and delivery centers to strike. The strikes will take place in Saxony (Dresden, Ottendorf-Okrilla, Leipzig), Saxony-Anhalt (Osterweddingen, Magdeburg) and Nohra in Thuringia, among other places, Verdi announced.

In the wage dispute at Deutsche Post, Verdi is insisting on a wage increase of seven percent for tariff employees, trainees and dual students as well as additional vacation days.
