A moving car has been hit by a falling tree near Hartha (district of Central Saxony). Two occupants - men aged 18 and 21 - were slightly injured and received outpatient treatment from the ambulance service at the scene of the accident, according to the Chemnitz police department. The 82-year-old driver was uninjured.
According to the police, the car was traveling on a road from Minkwitz to Wendishain on Saturday evening when the tree on the side of the road suddenly toppled over. It was stormy at times in Saxony on Saturday. The police estimated the damage to the car at 10,000 euros. A car parked on the side of the road was also damaged.
