A streetcar derailed at Postplatz in Dresden last night - no one was injured. According to the fire department, the cause was probably a switch fault. As a result, the front part of the streetcar was directed in a different direction than the rear and the wheels were forced off the tracks. After two hours, the emergency services had lifted the train back onto the track bed with the help of a crane. Postplatz was closed for the duration of the operation.
