A car crashes into several trees in the Saxon municipality of Wolkenstein. A rescue helicopter also has to arrive to provide assistance.

A woman and her three passengers have been seriously injured in an accident in the Erzgebirgskreis district. According to the police, the 38-year-old woman had been driving too fast on Saturday, which is why she left the road on a bend between Ehrenfriedersdorf and Falkenstein. The car first crashed into a tree on one side of the road before being thrown across the carriageway, where it hit another tree and came to rest in the ditch, according to a police spokesperson.

The 38-year-old woman, her 43-year-old passenger and two children aged 16 and 7 were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The 7-year-old girl was reportedly so seriously injured that she had to be transported by helicopter.
