Where will our food come from in the future? And what does everyday life on a farm actually look like? Where interested parties can get an insight on "Open Farm Day".

At the coming weekend, agriculture from Saxony and Germany will present itself in Wittichenau. The federal kick-off for the "Open Farm Day" will take place in the Krabat Milk World on Friday (June 12), according to the Ministry of the Environment. Representatives from agriculture, politics, the media and society will discuss current issues and problems within agriculture.

The topics to be discussed include where food will come from in the future and the situation of regional agriculture with regard to climate change and geopolitical unrest.

On Saturday, the Saxony-wide "Open Farm Day" will take place in the town in the district of Bautzen. Visitors will be able to get to know and experience the work on a farm, it was reported. Other farms in Saxony are also taking part in the "Open Farm Day", with some of them offering events in June - others have already held events or only offer them later in the year.
