High investment requirement: Water demand increases significantly

The demand for water in Saxony-Anhalt will increase considerably in the coming years. According to Stadtwerke Halle, industrial settlements, climate change and transformation processes mean that existing systems are already reaching their capacity limits at peak times. This is associated with a high need for investment.

Representatives from politics, associations and water suppliers will discuss cross-state solutions on Wednesday and present the results of the water supply concept for Saxony-Anhalt and the greater Leipzig area (2 p.m.).
