Dresden’s Erlweinturm will go under the hammer at the end of November, along with nearly 100 other properties from Saxony and neighboring federal states. The historic Art Nouveau tower is listed in the Sächsische Grundstücksauktionen AG catalog with a minimum bid of 1.5 million euros. The auction is scheduled for November 25 in Dresden. Built in 1906, the tower is part of the former Dresden slaughterhouse. It formerly housed a machine shop. The striking complex has been partially renovated and is being offered as an event space. Until now, the Erlwein Tower was owned by Technische Werke Dresden. According to the auction house, a total of 53 properties from Saxony, 23 from Thuringia, 17 from Saxony-Anhalt, as well as properties from Bavaria and Brandenburg will be auctioned. These include various single-family homes and apartment buildings, as well as a former church in Wettin-Löbejün, the former Filmpalast movie theater in Heidenau, a shopping center in Hoyerswerda, and several garage complexes.
