Individuals, start-up teams and young companies with innovative ideas can now apply for the Saxon Start-up Award 2026. The online portal is open until February 25, explained Hans Leonhardt from futureSAX, the innovation platform of the Free State of Saxony. Applications can be submitted there.
The company is looking for innovative business ideas and start-up concepts, regardless of whether they have already been implemented on the market or are still being realized. Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Panter (SPD) explained: "With the Saxon Start-up Award, we want to make our vibrant start-up culture visible again - this year, for the first time, also older start-ups that are already established and growing successfully."
The Founder Award is presented annually. This year's winners included the companies "windfire GbR" and "SaxonQ GmbH" from Leipzig.
