In their last professional competition, the German dance couple Marius-Andrei Balan and Kristina Moshenska won their fifth world championship title in Latin dance in Leipzig on Sunday night. Second place went to the Chinese couple Li Mingxuan and Zhou Wanting. Third place went to the Russians Egor Petrov and Daria Petrova. The German dance couple Vinzenz Doerlitz and Albena Daskalova were also in the final. They finished in sixth place.

Gold also at the World Games

The successful team Balan/Moshenska crowned their career with another World Championship title, making them one of the most successful German dance couples ever.

It was the last professional competition for the duo, who say they have been dancing together since 2015 and have since won eight German championships, two European championships and now five world titles in Latin dance. The duo also won the gold medal at the World Games in Chengdu, China, in August.
