More than 120,000 people visited the Deutsch-Sorbisches Volkstheater in Bautzen in 2025. The theater hosted 801 events in German and Sorbian, according to the Deutsch-Sorbisches Volkstheater. This included 25 premieres, it said.
In February, the Spreewald crime thriller "Smjerć po štučkach" (Death by Verse) was performed. In summer, the theater attracted more than 35,000 guests with "Alice in Wonderland". Next year, the comedy "Skazany pryzlak" (The Party Animal) will celebrate its premiere in the main theater in Upper Sorbian. "Spuk von draußen" is planned for the Bautzen Theatre Summer in the Ortenburg courtyard.
