The Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM) is supporting 41 film projects with a good 5.2 million euros. The largest single amount of 450,000 euros will go to a production company from Weimar that is adapting the children's animation series "Agent 203" for the cinema, as the MDM announced in Leipzig. In the series, intergalactic spy Zoe Stranek sets off in search of her missing father. The new adaptation of the classic children's book "Emil and the Detectives" by Erich Kästner is being supported with 400,000 euros.
